California Department of General Services

Small Business Advisory Council

Appointed role
What this body does

The Council gives California small businesses a direct forum to advise DGS on policies and practices that shape participation in state procurement and contracting.

It helps improve procurement processes, expands education and outreach, identifies barriers, and develops practical recommendations that make state contracting more accessible to small and diverse businesses.

Our community impact

The Chamber brings the experiences of LGBTQ-owned businesses into conversations about how California buys goods and services.

National Football League

NFL Advisory Committee

Appointed role
What this body does

The committee helps connect community and supplier perspectives with the NFL’s work to broaden access for local and underrepresented businesses.

Its work supports more equitable procurement practices, stronger supplier pipelines, and opportunities connected to league and club operations and major events.

Our community impact

The Chamber advocates for LGBTQ-owned companies to be visible, prepared, and considered for meaningful contracting opportunities.

California Department of Insurance

Insurance Diversity Task Force

Appointed role
What this body does

The Task Force advises the Department of Insurance on increasing procurement with diverse suppliers and strengthening diversity on insurance-company governing boards.

It identifies industry leaders, examines representation, and recommends ways—including potential changes to law—to advance supplier and governing-board diversity.

Our community impact

The Chamber represents LGBT business-enterprise priorities in a body whose seats are appointed by the Insurance Commissioner.

Hospital Supplier Diversity Commission

Appointed role
What this body does

The Commission advises California and the hospital industry on effective ways to increase procurement from diverse suppliers.

It brings public, hospital, procurement, and diversity stakeholders together to review supplier-diversity practices, promote outreach, and strengthen access to hospital supply chains.

The Chamber carries LGBTQ business perspectives into an appointed commission established to make health-care procurement more inclusive.
